MBCEA is pleased to offer you an opportunity to participate in an employee healthcare benefit plan, the MBCEA Health Benefit Program, designed exclusively for members of the Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association ("MBCEA"), their employees and dependents. All MBCEA member firms with 2 or more full-time employees are eligible for the program.

Employee healthcare is now considered the second largest employer expense for most American businesses, and metal building contractors are not alone in their efforts to reduce and control the cost of employee medical benefits.

MBCEA has taken the lead by providing a national non-profit healthcare benefit plan to meet the unique needs of its member companies. MBCEA members purchasing power has been combined under the Specialty Contractors Benefit Trust to create a lower cost healthcare option that offers comprehensive benefits on a national basis.

Both large and small MBCEA members are feeling the pinch of rising healthcare costs. This problem is even more critical for smaller firms that have to pay more for coverage when competing with larger companies to attract and keep their best employees. The healthcare benefits are no different than other products --- the less you buy, the higher the cost per unit.

Small businesses in general have fewer benefit options available to them and typically face higher costs when compared to the options available to larger companies. the MBCEA Health Benefit Program was established to meet the unique cost and benefit requirements of MBCEA members across the country.

The MBCEA Health Benefit Program is a low cost employee benefit plan that is specially designed for MBCEA members. All benefits are funded through the Specialty Contractors Benefit Trust, which qualifies as an employee benefit plan under federal ERISA standards. All benefits provided through the Trust are guaranteed by certain "A" rated underwriters.
